What a way to get those people visiting botanical gardens and nature centers to be aware of and quit fearing native bees.
I went to the site where someone had taken the time to create directions to building a smaller garden version of the bee housing. I am inspired to try such a thing just to see if there are enough bees around to use it and to get the kids involved.
We certainly have plenty of pollen and nectar sources to supply a colony.
I especially liked the sand pit. Looked it up to see if viable in Illinois. Thanks for the link…Gloria
